Like many other historic inventions, such as the microwave oven, saccharine, or Chiclets gum, EpiCor started out being used for a completely different purpose. A discovery of some new data, unrelated to the business or purpose of the ingredient at the time, suddenly shed new light on possibilities for human immune health, clarifying a newer concept at the time called “immune balance.”
