It ain’t charging rhinos, it’s immune cells run amok

We now are ending the cold and flu season. In tribute to this, I post a video from Procter and Gamble’s research and development scientists. As you’ll see in this 4-minute piece, the researchers discuss findings from a closely controlled study of severe cold symptoms. Their research concludes that all the miserable things people endure when the have bad cold or respiratory condition are NOT a result of the “rhinovirus” associated with the cold. The crappy stuff with a cold comes from the body’s immune system over-reacting to the virus. The result: phlegm, fever, aches, watery eyes, etc.  The immune system is out of balance. Boom. Game. Set. Match.

By the way, I haven’t had a severe cold now for at least 14 months, about the time I started my immune supplements. No allergies either. Click the “My Experience” category on the left column for my symptom history.
